Since I reported the original allegation, here's the follow-up: Conservative pundit Rachel Marsden will not be charged with criminal harassment in the case of an ex-boyfriend and OPP officer.
Marsden had accused ex-boyfriend Const. Tony Backhurst of leaking anti-terrorism secrets to her and had posted a photo of the undercover officer on the Internet.
"The advice of the Crown is that no charges should be laid," said South Simcoe police Insp. Kerry Emms.
Neither Backhurst nor his lawyer was available for comment.
"How many men have to say that I harassed them before it officially becomes a joke?" Marsden asked rhetorically in an online posting at rachelmarsden.com, referring to her connection to other harassment cases.
Backhurst is under internal investigation over the alleged leaking of information to Marsden.
The National Post had the story on Jan. 4.
