On Queen St. W. a scruffy guy is out for an evening walk with his dog's leash in his right hand, a live iguana in his left and a potted palm in his backpack.

The girls go crazy.

Speaking of girls, a 20-something had the following caption on her t-shirt: "I (heart) friendly sluts."

And speaking of girls yet again, an artistic one is painting a mural on an Ossington Street wall. She stepped back from it and stared at it with a fretful look. She looked like she needed positive reinforcement, so I interjected. "Looks great!" I said with a smile and a thumbs-up. She looked very relieved to hear that, and gave me a grateful-sounding "thank you!" in return.

The best part? I was telling the truth. It did look great!
