Dick Cheney went out quail hunting and bagged himself a lawyer!

I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to the next episode of the Daily Show!! :)

Stewart and company have gotta be thinking that for some reason, Fate has decided to smile on them.

It's interesting to note that this incident happened Saturday, but Cheney's office didn't say anything until The Corpus Christi Caller-Times called them and subsequently broke the story on its website on Sunday.

An excerpt: (ya gotta register for the full story :(  )

(Veep spokeswoman Lea Anne) McBride, who confirmed the accident Sunday around noon, would not comment on whether the White House would have released the information had the Caller-Times not contacted them. The Caller-Times received a tip from a member of the Armstrong family (the ranch's owners) Sunday morning, 18 hours after the incident occurred.

"I’m not going to speculate," McBride said. "When you put the call into me, I was able to confirm that account."

However, if you're going be be blasted by anyone, it might as well be Cheney. Because of his bad ticker, he's always got a doctor three steps behind him. :)

Now, a final thought: Imagine Cheney had been out hunting with Bush 41 Veep J. Danforth Quayle?

I can see the headlines now: Cheney goes hunting, bags Quayle. :)

A verbally dyslexic former vice-president is a terrible thing to waste.
