Since I mentioned The King of Comedy in the 'celebrity' post below, I should mention I decided to rent and revisit it, in part so I could get one quote right.

How good a journalist was Ed Bradley? The CBS News correspondent, one of the first African-American network TV journalists, who came to fame in Southeast Asia and who had a stellar career on 60 Minutes, was introduced thusly on CBC Radio's 8 p.m. newscast tonight:

CBC's Ed Bradley is dead at age 65 ...

All the truly great ones are associated with CBC -- even if they drew their paycheque from a U.S. network. :)
