From an NYT story on the U.S. Army's trial of Sgt. Ricky Clousing, who went absent without leave after he found himself unable to serve in the Iraq war any more:

 “A message must be sent,” Capt. Jessica Alexander, the Army’s trial lawyer, said in her closing argument. “There are thousands of soldiers who may disagree with this particular war, but who stay and fight.”

Both are fine films, but the one whose images will be exploding on the insides of my eyelids for days to come will be The Last King of Scotland.
