A group of Dutch ravers parodied Auschwitz, the notorious Nazi death camp located in Poland, in a web-based video clip to promote a dance party.
An excerpt:
The Polish government is demanding that Dutch authorities have the clip, called Housewitz, removed from the site.
The video includes a spoof advert for a "free taxi ride home", using a photo of corpses on a wheelbarrow, and one for "hot showers" with a gas chamber image.
About 1.5 million people, mostly European Jews, were killed at the Nazi camp in Poland during World War II.
Action demanded
The video purports to be a promotion for a dance festival said to have taken place on 5 May, which is Holocaust Remembrance Day.
It makes light of the grim slogan at the entrance of the camp "Arbeit macht frei" (Work makes you free), changing it to "Tanzen macht frei" (Dance makes you free).
