I live in the "Little Italy" part of Toronto, which has a big "Passion of the Christ" parade every Good Friday.
I watched a few minutes of the parade while doing other stuff (hey, I'm agnostic; Easter's not a big spiritual deal to me), and have one observation.
At the parade's start, there were four women dressed up as Roman centurions on horseback.
A few minutes later, Jesus is portrayed riding into Jerusalem on a donkey.
While the centurions' horses had no sanitary escort, there was a guy with a scoop shovel and a small barrel on wheels about two feet behind the ass's, er, ass.
I was left wondering about the religious symbolism of that. :)
