It's with Shamil Basayev, who masterminded the assault on the school in Beslan, Russia. And Russia's not happy about it. Here's the Reuters story via globeandmail.com:

MOSCOW -- The Kremlin demanded yesterday that Britain stop the broadcast of an interview with a Chechen rebel who masterminded the deadly Beslan school siege and says he is planning more attacks on Russian targets.

But last night, Britain's Channel 4 News went ahead and broadcast an interview with Shamil Basayev, the Chechen warlord who ordered many attacks on civilians, including the Beslan hostage-taking, in which more than 330 people died.

"We see such an action as another step in the information support given to terrorists acting in the North Caucasus," a Russian Foreign Ministry statement.

"We are sure that such an irresponsible step . . . counters the efforts of the global coalition for fighting terrorism." ...

Channel 4 News said in a statement earlier in the day that its broadcast "will make very clear what kind of man is Shamil Basayev and will set in very clear context his attempted rationale" for what happened at Beslan.
