Earlier this week, the Italian public broadcaster RAI ran a documentary which claims the U.S. military used phosphorus weapons on civilians during the the Battle of Fallujah in November 2004.
Democracy Now! has an excerpt of the documentary (and a link to it) here. Democracy Now! also had a panel discussion involving:
- Maurizio Torrealta, News Editor for RAI and co-producer of the film "Fallujah: The Hidden Massacre."
- Jeff Englehart, former army Specialist in Iraq. He maintains a weblog called Fight to Survive
- Lieutenant Colonel Steve Boylan, spokesperson for the U.S. military in Iraq.
The Toronto Star's Antonia Zerbisias has a very comprenhensive post on the phosphorus/Fallujah issue.
