An interesting "scandal" has broken out -- this time involving a prominent U.S. liberal blogger, and only days after it was revealed a prominent conservative black commentator had received $240,000 US to shill for the No Child Left Behind Act.

I wonder if the timing of the revelation about Markos Moulitsas of DailyKOS is coincidental? :)

I found out, quite by accident, that I was nominated for best new blog award in the 2004 Canadian Blog Awards. Since I've never won a blogging award before, it would be a historic achievement if I did it this time. And you can help!

It appears the British comedian Ali G. (aka Sacha Baron Cohen) may well have punked a rodeo in southwest Virginia earlier this week.

This is from an English-language Sri Lankan newspaper called the Daily News. It's about the toll on Sri Lankan journalists in tsunami-hit areas -- and a plea for help.

By my reading, the tsunami is dramatically dropping in importance as a story in the Western world.
