In a WashingtonPost.com online questionnaire, the biggest tech story of 2004 was outsourcing. IPod mania was number two, but bloggers trumped the Google IPO.

Being a media-minded fellow, I wonder how the rise of blogger-journalists would fare as a category in top media developments for 2004 -- and whether it would differ in Canada versus the U.S.

Really, we haven't produced a blogging media star like Wonkette, to name but one.
