'Dark Alliance' author Gary Webb found dead

This really disturbed me when I saw it on the wire this evening: Gary Webb, a journalist who had investigated links between the CIA-created Contras and the crack cocaine trade, has been found dead. But what disturbed me even more me is how the coverage so far mentions work discrediting 'Dark Alliance' but none of it mentions a 1998 Esquire Magazine article that, to my mind, did a pretty good job of defending Webb and his work. more »
