It looks like the Liberals and Bloc Quebecois reached a deal on the wording of the subamendment.

As a result, the confidence vote is off.

I'm flabbergasted at the game of chicken going on in Parliament as I write this.

The throne speech has now become a matter of confidence, and some time after 6:30 p.m. EDT, we might find out that we're going to the polls if the Bloc Quebecois and Conservative Party vote for a BQ amendment to it.
